1. What brought you to CrossFit?
My friend DT was sharing with me how much she was enjoying the excellent coaching at CrossFit Empower, the camaraderie with other gym members and the challenge. I was really struggling at the time with consistent physical activity in the winter – running in the rain & going to the gym to create my own work outs was not working out.

2. What was your first impression?  How has it changed?
My first impression was that CrossFit was very challenging both physically and mentally. I find the Olympic weight lifting motions very difficult. It still is both physically and mentally challenging but I love how more and more of the movements have become smoother for me. I have noticed that I am no longer so sore that I cannot sleep at night!

3. What was your first bright spot (win/positive experience)?
My first bright spot was stringing together a few double unders and then shortly after being able to do about 8 double unders.

4. What are you working on now?
My goal right now is to be able to do one strict pull up without a band by December 31st.

5. What’s your favourite Empower memory so far?
My favourite empower memory is the CrossFit Open – how everyone cheered everyone on, shared tips & had a ton of fun. But really, every time I come to CrosFit I enjoy the laughter, and great coaching!
