Why climb?
It is likely, if not already the case, that at some point in our lives we will be touched by someone struggling with this disease. By becoming a part of our team, you will be helping to make a difference to the more than 70,000 British Columbians who are currently affected by Alzheimer disease and other dementias and as a bonus, become more fit in the process!
For the last two years a small but mighty team from CrossFit Empower participated in the climb. The first year we were blessed with dry conditions, the second we were poured upon, arriving at the top soaked to the bone. Who knows what this year will hold, but we’d love to have you join us for our third climb challenge to find out.
You can sign up directly on the CF Empower team page:
http://joinbc.alzheimer.ca/goto/CFEmpower
Your $35.00 registration fee includes the 15.00 gondola ride down the mountain. No hiking down allowed!
If you cannot join us but would like to donate you can do that too – just go to the team page and follow the links. Thank you!
We will meet at the gym at 8am on the day and carpool from there for those who wish to go together. Otherwise, we will meet you at the base @ 8:45 and start from there.
