Hold on Empowerites, there’s a lot coming at you this March!
20 in 2020 Continues!
Did you attend 20 or more classes in February? If not, you can still get in the game. Classes in excess of the 20 class minimum can be credited back to January or February to get you caught up but they cannot be paid forward. And starting March you must maintain at least 20 classes per month to remain in the game.
Spring Break is coming, want to get attendance credit while travelling? Post to the CrossFit Empower Facebook page.
If you visit another CrossFit post a photo with the coach, name of affiliate, the WOD and your score.
If you’re working out on your own, tell us which WOD you’re doing, post your score and a video clip of your workout.

Volunteer at the CanWest Games
The 2020 CanWest Games CrossFit Sanctional will be hosted in June at UBC. Empower is sending no less than 17 athletes and you can represent Empower as well by volunteering for 1, 2 or all 3 days. Be a part of the very first Western Canadian Sanctional event and be on the field with local and international CrossFit stars! Watch our Empower athletes compete. And help us win a C2 Bike! Volunteers are needed for judging, set up and many other tasks. The more volunteers we send the more chances we have of winning.
Friday June 5th, Saturday June 6th, and Sunday June 7th. (The minimum commitment is one day, but the volunteer swag gets better and better from one day to three… three days gets you shoes!)
Other opportunities include medical response and media teams, but the biggest need is for:
– Judges – experienced judges and beginners (fresh eyes!) both welcome!
– Crew – perfect for those itching for an all-day workout!
Interested folks can register at: https://www.canwestgames.com/volunteer/.
