Not much of a sleep last night (0pts). Breakfast then a walk up Dunbar (-1pt). Another glorious summer-like Vancouver day!
CrossFit Group Classes faced benchmark WOD Jackie aka Navy Seal. A bunch of personal bests. Congrats on everyone who completed it RX’d: Sandman, Dr. T, Magnum, Bruiser, BFG, Springs, Brick, The Viking, Captain, Bender, Yeti, MK, Super Mario, A-Train and Aquagirl (almost).
My WOD was a bit different
8 minutes max rep Shoulder Press @115#
Every time bar drops, complete 50 Double Unders
Rest 4 minutes
8 minutes max rep Hang Power Cleans @205#
Every time bar drops, complete 30 Squats
Score = Total reps Shoulder Press + Total reps HPC
I have done reps of HPC @205# before but it is near my max and my form is suspect at that weight. Today I felt 165# was suitably challenging whilst allowing me to maintain correct form. Averaged sets of only 3 HPC so it was probably a good choice. Lots of DU & Squats in this WOD so there was some strategy in timing everything to maximize reps. I got 26 Shoulder Press plus 11 HPC for a total score of 37 reps. (-1pt)
A productive day as I blasted through my to-do list.
Sunghee on set for rehearsal so she dropped Kaelin with me. He joined me for a gymnastics based play session (-1pt).
A full night of coaching and Sunghee picked us up on her way home from set. A rather late night for us all.
