Woke to 4:15am alarm (0pts) breakfast & a walk up Dunbar to work (-1pt). A cool Vancouver morning.
Group Classes took on CrossFit HeroWOD Capoot. Most could not finish this monster within the time cap but some stayed overtime to get it done. Congratulations to G-Money, Big Boss, K-Pop, Gazelle, Driven, The Calm & Aquagirl who completed all rounds and to those who completed the WOD RX’d: Sandman, Magnum, Dangers, Bruiser, Super Mario, Mighty Mouse, Yeti, Captain & Mr. Fantastic! Tough day.
Coached Big Boss while eating breakfast then attacked my day’s work. Lots to do!
Did what I could then time to WOD. On my schedule was Nate:
20 min AMRAP
2 Muscle Ups
4 HSPU
8 KB Swings @2 Pood
It is possible that I have never done this WOD before. I love MU & HSPU so was looking forward to it. It was much tougher than expected. The KB Swings really took it out of my MU and my shoulders were on fire! What a tough WOD. 7 rounds and 1 rep (-1pt).
Met with The Touch to discuss the Town Hall meeting while I shovelled in some food. Much good stuff for us to do. Could not discuss it all before the noon class arrived.
After coaching the noon class I got some work done then worked mobility/stability with eccentric holds for an hour (-2pts). It really helps.
Had a CrossFit intro that ran right into the 5pm class. 6pm class stayed overtime to finish HeroWOD. I crammed in dinner and attacked my ever lengthening to-do list. Mighty Mouse helped me out by washing all the used cups accumulated over 2 classes saving me much time so that I just managed to get done my tasks before the 8pm rolled in.
A-Train drove me home after class. I got an unexpected call from a local friend and CrossFit owner asking if I would like to buy his business. Surprised and intrigued.
Ate again before bed I was so hungry!
Very hectic & productive day. I think I was asleep the moment my head touched the pillow.
