Medical science will not completely grasp or address the health implications of metabolic disease until the old pharmaceutical interventionist model of health management is replaced by the via negativa principle of improving health by removing or avoiding harmful interventions, rather than adding more treatments. When will we stop dying of diseases associated with metabolic disorders? When the old guard dies out.
