Bounce back

Thought of the day

Bounce back 2

As many of you know world masters did not go according to plan. I got back to training and have taken many lessons from my trip down to Jiu Jitsu con. Since being back I have put these lessons into practice. Now I have an opportunity, to put my progress on display, this Saturday with a match at a Jiu Jitsu challenge event and will get to take on my first opponent at brown belt. It was a cool opportunity. I thought I would not compete again until October but it will be cool to get back in the ring Saturday September 21. If you are interested in streaming the matches please email me [email protected] . I will send you details of how to sign up for streaming and advice on some of the other fun matches to watch out for. Some of the proceeds from the stream can even go towards my entry fee for the event.

Bounce back 3

How do you normally respond to your setbacks? Are you a person that likes to take your time and analyze or are you more likely to dust yourself off and get right back into the ring? There are many cliché sayings like “you only loss if you give up.” This has been true for me in life in general. It is so easy to give up because things are hard, not going your way, or the task is proving harder than expected. But as long as you keep moving forward, the act of picking yourself back up is the most important thing you can do to show your kids and other loved ones the way to success. It is not about winning every battle but how you get back up that really inspires.  This is in sport, at work and with everyday life stuff. Will you learn the lessons from the setbacks and use them to move forward or stay down?

Bounce back 4

Things will not always go your way. How you bounce back from setbacks will say a lot about your character and how far you will go on your journey. Next time you get knocked down; find your way back on to the horse. We are here to support you through the setbacks and are excited to watch and cheer as you create your next break through.
