Be Unshakable: Training Your Mind and Body to Overcome Life’s Trials

“Keep challenging yourself to think better, do better, and be better.” – Robin S. Sharma

Thought of the Day

In life, whether we want to or not, we will be challenged. You have two options: prepare by consistently pushing yourself to grow, or coast along until adversity forces you to rise to the occasion. In the gym and on the mats, I always face bigger and more intimidating challenges. This has helped me both physically and mentally when unexpected obstacles arise. By stepping up daily to something that scares you, you create opportunities to grow into the person you want to become. It’s not a magic pill, but embracing daily challenges builds resilience and grit.

The great thing about challenging yourself in the gym or on the mats is that you get frequent opportunities to succeed. Completing a workout you thought was impossible or hitting a personal record proves that you can overcome hard things. Training makes you more resilient to the misfortunes life may throw your way. We all face challenges at work, with family, health, and more. Do you want to wait for those moments to force growth, or will you proactively seek challenges to become someone who laughs in the face of adversity?

There’s no shortcut, but if you are willing to take on hard things, you’ll be more prepared when they arise. The challenges I’ve faced in training have been invaluable in preparing me for life. You are someone who is willing to step up and do the hard things. When life comes at you from all angles, you will be ready to rise to the challenge
