Consistency Challenge: 5 x 800m Runs

June 22, 20241 min read

Join us this Saturday for a challenging workout featuring 5 x 800-meter runs, with a 3-minute rest between each run. The goal is to maintain a consistent pace across all five sets, or even improve your time with each subsequent run.

To ensure everyone can complete each set within the 5-minute limit, you may need to adjust the distance accordingly. We will have a running clock in the gym to keep track of your times. Be sure to note the time you finish each run, as your next run will start exactly 3 minutes later.

During the rest period, calculate the duration of your previous run and record it on your board. This will help you easily average your times at the end of the workout to determine your score. Make sure to log all your split times for a complete record.

See you all in group classes, on the zoom, or in the open gym.

Cheers,
Big Cat
