From Setbacks to Comebacks: Training That Keeps You Fighting

We are all athletes, competing at our own level.

Thought of the Day

As a coach, some of my most rewarding experiences have been working with combat sports athletes. I know firsthand how discouraging it can feel to be on the edge of leaving the sport you love—or struggling to perform at the level you want. But I’ve also seen the other side: athletes who rebuild, stay in the game, and reach new heights they never thought possible.

Personally, I wouldn’t be able to keep training in Judo and Jiu-Jitsu without the strength and conditioning I get at Empower. Whenever I hit a setback, I’ve got the tools and routine to bounce back. As a coach, it’s been incredible to share that same foundation with friends and fellow competitors.

That’s why you keep hearing about Fight Fit—it’s the next step in how Empower helps combat athletes stay healthy, resilient, and ready to perform.

Who Is Fight Fit For?

When you hear about a program like this, it’s easy to assume it’s only for high-level competitors chasing medals or national podiums. But that’s not the case.

  • Fight Fit is for anyone who wants to be better, healthier, and fitter for their sport:

  • Hobbyists who feel like injuries are always around the corner

  • Athletes dealing with nagging setbacks that never seem to go away

  • Competitors who want to train smarter, recover faster, and keep improving

Our training blends rehab, prehab, and performance so you can get back to the sport you love stronger than before. Many athletes we’ve worked with were one injury away from walking away—but now they’ve found a new way to show up, compete, and thrive.

You Deserve to Feel Capable, Confident, and Injury-free

We’re all competing at the level that’s right for us. But no matter where you are—beginner, weekend warrior, or serious competitor—you deserve to feel capable, confident, and injury-free.

Fight Fit gives you that edge. It’s training designed not just to keep you in the ring or on the mats, but to help you become the best version of yourself in your sport.

Ready to Make Your Comeback?

Before you think about giving up on your sport, give Fight Fit a try. See how it can keep you healthy, consistent, and progressing—whether your goal is winning medals or simply enjoying training pain-free.
