Keeping Kids Training Consistently and June is Empower Youth Bring a Friend to Class Day

Training Consistency for Kids
We talk a lot about how important consistency is with our training for adults, but how important is it for kids? The answer is very important! Children of all ages need consistency in training as much as an adult. Under the age of 10 consistent training more often comes in the form of play. Everyday your child might play soccer at lunchtime. School physical education is a couple times per week. Maybe your child plays a sport that meets a few times a week. Whichever avenue the child chooses, staying consistent in some sort of training program helps guide them to keep fitness in their life. As adults, many of us crave it. We know when we haven’t been to the gym, or maybe crave is too strong a word but we know for longevity we need to do some form of fitness. What a gift to teach a young child how important regular fitness is? Consistent training can show kids the value to being committed to themselves. It helps them learn how to use exercise as a consistent tool for addressing stress when school or life gets hard. Consistency along with structure all great tools that kids need in their toolbox.
Now that the school year is almost done and many are planning family vacations and camps etc, just remember that Empower Youth is here year round to help your child continue to train consistently. Come join our regular classes or look at our summer series. TV and computer games are very attractive during those summer months, but don’t let it derail the training that your kids have done all year. Check out our offerings below for more information.

Bring a Friend to Class Day
What is better than doing an Empower Youth class? Doing a class with a friend!

This includes all our current programs running: Varsity, Junior Varsity, Elev8 and Homeschool PE (June 5 only). For more information about participating contact Coach Barb at [email protected].
