No More Wasted Days: Find the Story in the Ordinary
“Life is too short for bad coffee.” – Gord Downie
Thought of the Day
It can be easy to go through the motions and not really enjoy each day. But whether you're actively involved or choosing to be a passive bystander, you continue to create your story.
For the last few months, I’ve been sitting down and writing a few sentence stories from each day. This process has been interesting even on the most routine days, it forces the mind to look for and find the story. There have been some very ordinary moments and some comedy gold. But no day feels wasted when you're actively looking for a story within it.
Just like our quote from Gord Downie, life is too short to throw away a day. Whatever you choose to invest in, make the most of it and try to grow from it. Even if it’s a boring and monotonous task, try to find the story or the growth.
Today in the gym is another make-up day. Will you let it slip away or are you going to add another page to your story?
