CHAD1000X: A Hero's Tribute

November 16, 20241 min read

This Saturday, we’ll tackle the Hero WOD CHAD1000X, a workout dedicated to the memory of Navy SEAL Chad Wilkinson. Chad tragically died by suicide on October 29, 2018, following the toll of numerous deployments, traumatic brain injuries, blast-wave impacts, and PTSD. This workout is more than a physical challenge; it’s an opportunity to honor Chad’s life and legacy while raising awareness for suicide prevention.

CHAD1000X is a long and demanding workout, designed to push your limits. In our group classes, we’ll approach it as a Team WOD to make it more manageable. If you’re feeling up to the challenge, you’re welcome to take it on solo, but be prepared to face a time cap.

If you have a ruck backpack or weight vest, bring it along. Let’s come together as a community to support one another, and spread the message that no one has to carry their burden alone.

See you all in group classes, on the zoom, or in the open gym.

Cheers,
Big Cat
