Youth Program Offerings

If you stop by the gym in the late afternoon you will see the youth program in full swing. All the athletes from age 7-17 have started the year off with a bang and are working hard! We also had a fun game of monsters versus aliens yesterday in Junior Varsity where some of The Touch's clients jumped in to have some fun before their Personal Training session.

If you are not familiar with what programs we offer, take a moment and read on.

Varsity: This class is designed for teens age 13-17. The curriculum includes: weightlifting, Olympic Lifting, core, power and strength, agility, endurance, injury prevention and more. It is a great program to add on for supplemental training for sport, or for those not playing sport, to learn some great fitness skills for life.

Junior Varsity: This class is for those 8-12. It includes: strength and conditioning, core , injury prevention, balance work and more. It often looks like a whole lot of fun as the programming is designed to be fun while exercising. It is a great class to learn new movements, feel safe to work at your own pace and create connections with fellow classmates!

Homeschool PE: For those following an alternative education path, this offering is for ages 9-17. It runs one time per week for an hour on Wednesdays and we have a blast. Each week this group is learning and practicing new weightlifting techniques. The will usually complete a WOD (workout of the day) and I always core will appear in a form of a Tabata (interval training) or part of the workout.

If none of the programs fit your current calendar, no worries! We also offer small group and individual personal training!

As the head coach of the program, it is such a pleasure to watch these kids learn, build confidence, get strong, and start new friendships.
