About Coach Alan

Alan began training at Empower in 2022, initially introduced to the gym by his parents. Not naturally athletic growing up, he spent years believing fitness was something out of reach. Empower’s focus on functional movement and building real-world strength challenged that belief, helping him develop physical competence and confidence. What started as a personal breakthrough gradually evolved into a deeper commitment, culminating in Alan stepping into a coaching role in 2025.
As a coach, Alan emphasizes strong fundamentals, technical precision, and purposeful movement. He is especially passionate about supporting members as they build skills, confidence, and trust in their bodies, meeting each person where they are and helping them realize what they’re capable of.
Alongside coaching, Alan is completing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, guided by the belief that physical and mental health are two sides of the same coin. Outside the gym, he can usually be found spending time with his dog, Riker, or quietly maintaining his status as the world’s greatest rapper.
