At Empower we specialize in adapting our group class programs to your ability level and personal fitness goals. From beginner to advanced, we work with individuals at every fitness level from pro to first timer. Our members range from 9 to 89. The mileage doesn’t matter as long as you’re still young at heart! Empower is an adult-sized playground. Fall in love with moving again or for the first time.

Wednesdays, 5:30-6:30 pm

Running Club with Dani

The class will be an interval-based running fitness class!

This running session is all about mixing bursts of high-intensity running with recovery periods to boost endurance, speed, and overall fitness.

Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned runner, Coach Dani will guide you through intervals tailored to your level.

Please bring a watch or phone to help you track time during each round—we’ll be using timed segments to keep the energy high and get tangible results.

Let’s get after it and improve your VO2 max!

Weightlifting with TimberWolf

Are you someone that would like to improve your ability with weightlifting?

This specialty course with Coach Rachel (aka. TimberWolf) will help you with all the fundamental CrossFit lifts including the tricky Olympic lifts.

We have only 10 spaces available for this 6 session workshop. You will leave with more confidence, competence, and increased safety around your lifting technique.

If you are not feeling fully comfortable with your lifting or want to be more efficient to crush the workout of the day these sessions are for you.

Lift Over Forty

Build your strength with Empower’s all-levels-welcome Sunday lifting series for women 40+. This program helps you build muscle and vigor for life in a focused, supportive environment.

Why Strength Matters

As we get older, staying strong takes intention. Strength training supports muscle, bone health, metabolism, and energy—so you can keep doing what you love.

What's Included:

  • Focused workouts that build strength through foundational lifts: squat, deadlift, press, and push press

  • Personalized coaching with progressions for all levels

  • A community of like-minded women working together

  • Weekly support, check-ins, and practical fueling tips and mindset strategies to help you stay consistent and feel your best

Spots are limited to 10 women. No membership required.

This is a month-to-month program. You can stay automatically enrolled to keep building your strength or opt out by the 25th of each month.

Mondays & Thursdays, 7:00 to 8:00 pm

Fit Over 40

This group fitness class runs Monday and Thursday nights from 7pm to 8 pm and promises a high octane 40-minutes of guaranteed sweat plus a 10 minute warm up and cool down.

Start wherever you are at—no judgement or previous experience required. This program will kickstart you back into action no matter where you are starting from!

CrossFit Group Classes

Learn to love movement again! Reclaim the vitality of childhood as you join us in our adult-sized playground. We transform the chore of training into a fun, engaging, fulfilling game! Because this amazing, multidisciplinary approach to developing your peak athletic potential involves mastery of many technical skills.

CrossFit Group Classes are reserved for Empower members with previous CrossFit experience or members who have built a strong foundation by completing our Empower Beginner’s Curriculum.

CrossFit Group Class memberships include a Zoom class option so you have the flexibility of joining classes from home or from the road when you are away traveling.

Zoom-Only Group Class Membership

Do you live outside Vancouver? Do you want to train from the safety and convenience of your home? Do you want to continue training while on the road for work or travelling on vacation?

Join our in-gym CrossFit Group Classes from anywhere and train along with our in-gym group classes with the guidance of one of our Empower Coaches! We will post the workout details on our blog and Facebook page along with instructional videos and suggestions on how to modify workouts to fit your equipment access and fitness level so that you can come to class prepared.

Some familiarity with CrossFit is recommended, if you are new to CrossFit we suggest starting with a few in-person or Zoom Personal Training sessions so we can go over core movements with you.

Our Zoom subscription is charged per screen so any family, friends or neighbours who want to join you for a workout are welcome at no extra charge as long as they have completed the mandatory waivers and are sharing your screen with you.
