Empower Fitness is proud to be an official HYROX Training Club, offering HYROX training in Vancouver for athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and everyday people who want to build strength, endurance, and real-world fitness.
HYROX combines running and functional fitness into one challenging and measurable training format. Whether you're preparing for a HYROX race, looking for a new fitness goal, or simply want a workout that pushes you physically and mentally, our HYROX classes will help you get there.

HYROX training is free for current Empower CrossFit group class members.

HYROX is one of the fastest-growing fitness sports in the world.
Every HYROX race follows the same format:
8 x 1 km runs
8 functional fitness workout stations
Athletes move between running and fitness stations that include:
Ski Erg
Sled Push
Sled Pull
Burpee Broad Jumps
Rowing
Farmer's Carries
Sandbag Lunges
Wall Balls
Because every race follows the same structure, participants can track progress over time, compare results globally, and compete against themselves and others.
But you don't need to sign up for a race to benefit from HYROX training.
The training itself is an incredibly effective way to improve strength, endurance, stamina, work capacity, and mental toughness.



Located in Vancouver's West Side near Kitsilano and West Point Grey, Empower Fitness offers small-group coaching in a supportive and welcoming environment.
All of our HYROX training coaches are HYROX certified.
No worries! We will also be hosting a mini-HYROX at Empower on September 19.
This will be a fun way to get the HYROX experience and set a benchmark time for yourself — whether you choose to sign up for HYROX Vancouver or not.

No. Many participants join because they enjoy the style of training and want to improve their fitness. HYROX training is effective whether or not you plan to compete.
Yes. Workouts can be modified to match your current fitness level. You do not need previous HYROX or CrossFit experience.
HYROX follows a standardized race format focused on endurance and functional fitness. CrossFit incorporates a broader variety of movements, skills, and workout formats. Many athletes enjoy participating in both.
Most participants attend one or two sessions per week alongside their existing fitness routine.
