About Coach Jo
Jo's focus is helping women prioritize their health and fitness. As a mother of two energetic boys, she knows how important it is to have the energy to keep up with the demands of work, kids, and life. Jo is fun, approachable, enthusiastic and knows how to challenge you to get the results you want without feeling intimidated or uncomfortable. She provides a safe, friendly, judgement-free environment.
Outside of Empower, she coaches outdoor ‘boot camp’ style classes, rain or shine!
CrossFit level 1 certification
American Council of Exercise (ACE) personal trainer certification in 2018
ACE courses: Strength Training for Older Adults and Functional Programming for Active Agers.
Courses in High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and group training
Courses in women's health and performance
Courses in exercise during and after pregnancy
Jo is one of our group class coaches and also coaches individuals and small groups.
She is generally available Monday–Friday, 11:00 am–2:00 pm.
