Fit Over Forty is a 60-minute strength and conditioning class for adults over 40, designed to improve cardiovascular health and build strength through full-body workouts.
The class is designed to help participants kickstart a consistent training practice after time away or fit fitness into a busy life.



Each class is built around basic functional movements such as:
Squats and lunges
Presses and push-ups
Carries and deadlifts
In short, you'll work your arms, legs, abs, heart, and lungs in different ways each class!
Every Fit Over Forty class:
Is fully coached with hands-on support
Offers multiple workout options
Focuses on finding the best fit for you
Provides a fun, welcoming, and completely doable training environment
Our goal is for you to leave each class feeling better than when you came in.

Fit Over 40 is coached by Amy Freeman, one of Empower’s most experienced and approachable coaches — especially for adults getting back into fitness.
Amy didn’t grow up loving the gym. She avoided sports, felt awkward in fitness spaces, and struggled to find a routine that felt like it fit. That experience shapes how she coaches today.
Amy has seen firsthand, through her work in healthcare, how strength, movement, and consistency improve quality of life as we age. That perspective shows up in every class: smart warm-ups, thoughtful progressions, and workouts that help you feel better outside the gym, not just during class.

No. Fit Over 40 is a standalone group fitness program focused on strength, conditioning, and movement — without pressure, competition, or complex skills.
That’s common — especially over 40. Coach Amy offers modifications and progressions so you can train safely while still being challenged.
No membership is required. Fit Over 40 is open to non-members.
Spots open periodically. Joining the waitlist ensures you’ll be notified first when space becomes available.
